Meet the counsellors
Sam
Hello I'm Sam a student counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing.
I work full-time supporting children, young people and their families who have a disability, or who have recently received an SEN diagnosis. I am passionate about helping others and guiding them through the pathway to receive the support they need.
In my spare time, I enjoy taking walks with my dogs, spending time with friends and family, reading and trips away.
I work in a pluralistic way, keeping you- the client - always at the centre of our sessions. I will listen to what you have to say, so that we can effectively work together, explore and reflect on your thoughts and feelings In a safe and non-judgemental space - allowing you to empower yourself and grow.
I look forward to supporting you in your counselling journey.

Monty
Greetings, I'm Monty, a student counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing currently in training as an integrated psychotherapist.
I firmly believe in the potential for transformation within every individual. My passion lies in empowering people to tap into their inner strengths for personal growth. I am particularly drawn to fostering emotional openness among men, recognising it as a valuable yet often overlooked aspect of self-care.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I find joy in sketching and harbor a deep affection for dogs. Yoga and swimming are my preferred activities during leisure time. Having traversed various corners of the globe, I possess a keen interest in diverse cultures and lifestyles, gleaned from my own adventures and experiences.

Alex
Hello! I’m Alex, a student counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing nearing the completion of my professional training.
I work from a person-centred grounding, drawing upon other approaches as and when appropriate. In the simplest of terms this means that a client’s unique attributes and experiences are placed at the front and centre of an authentic and caring therapeutic relationship. Most important to me is providing a space in which you feel welcomed and heard without judgement; where you may freely explore any issue troubling you in a spirit of trust and collaboration.
As well as being at Ripples, I’m in a college placement role counselling undergraduate students, having previously volunteered for two years as a peer support group facilitator in the heart of Bristol.
When I have some spare time my main interest is playing and writing music. I also enjoy getting out of the city into the countryside whenever possible, in addition to reading, watching films, or spending time with my two cats!
Wednesdays only. Face to Face and Online appointments are available.
