Syd

Hello I'm Syd, a student counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing.

Originally from St Ives, now happily settled in Bristol, I love reading, coffee shops and dog walks (preferably on a beach!).

Having previously worked in marketing, I decided to change career paths and pursue my passion of working with people, helping them to empower themselves through counselling.

I will be offering both in-person and online sessions to Ripples clients.

At the heart of the way I work is you, the client, your preferences and specific needs. I use a pluralistic model with a person-centred foundation. I am also able to draw on psychodynamic and CBT approaches in order to tailor sessions to each individual client. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where we can explore and work together on whatever you choose.

Face to Face and Online appointments are available.

Sam

Hello I'm Sam a student counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing.

I work full-time supporting children, young people and their families who have a disability, or who have recently received an SEN diagnosis. I am passionate about helping others and guiding them through the pathway to receive the support they need.

In my spare time, I enjoy taking walks with my dogs, spending time with friends and family, reading and trips away.

I work in a pluralistic way, keeping you- the client - always at the centre of our sessions. I will listen to what you have to say, so that we can effectively work together, explore and reflect on your thoughts and feelings In a safe and non-judgemental space - allowing you to empower yourself and grow.

I look forward to supporting you in your counselling journey.

Tuesdays only.

Face to Face and Online appointments available.

Mel

Hello I'm Mel a student counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing.

I'm a seasoned NHS worker with experience in theatres, cancer care and women's health.

I am BS10 born and bred, referring to myself as an 'alternative geek': I love music, the Xbox, cult TV/film and am crafty and creative. I'm also a foodie, love animals and anything sea/ship related!

I'm a BAME and LGBTQ+ ally, offering support for sports related pressures and NHS workers. I also have M.E., Fibromyalgia and Hypermobility Syndrome so can offer support for chronic illnesses and medical concerns.

I'll be working pluralistically, drawing on various models: CBT, psychodynamic and human centred therapies. I adapt my counselling approach to fit your individual needs, aiming to help grow the Ripple effect, whilst helping you to help yourself.

I'm empathic, compassionate and understanding, here to support you in finding your way forward.

Wednesdays only.

Face to Face and Online appointments available.
