Meet Kate.
Welcome – I'm glad you're here.
As a person-centred, integrative counsellor, my aim is to create a safe and compassionate space where you feel truly heard, understood, and supported. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to offer you clarity, creativity, and sensitivity—tailoring our sessions to suit your unique needs.
From the very beginning, my focus is on getting to know you. I’ll listen with warmth and without judgement, gently exploring what’s brought you here and how you’re feeling. Together, we’ll begin to uncover what might be going on beneath the surface—helping you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a way that feels approachable and empowering.
Through our work, I hope to offer new perspectives and helpful insights in a supportive and down-to-earth way. We’ll explore both present concerns and any past experiences that may still be affecting you, with the aim of moving towards positive, meaningful change.
I see you. I hear you. And I’m here to walk alongside you—at your pace—towards a life that feels more aligned, connected, and whole.

Informal chat
I offer either an initial informal free 20-minute chat online or telephone to help you decide if I am the right person for you. This allows an opportunity for you to meet me, ask any questions and for me to meet you and explain how I work before making any financial commitment.
If you make contact and I am unable to answer, please leave a message and I will aim to respond within 24 hours (48 hours if you make contact over the weekend).
If you are happy to start, we would then agree on a day and time slot to commence regular sessions.
What does therapy look like?
This varies from individual to individual. Sessions are an opportunity for you to say things out loud, listen and connect with how you are right now in the moment as you explore your past or present. This is done in words, senses, images, feelings, or your breathing, at a pace comfortable for you.
During sessions, we may explore what is happening in the therapeutic relationship, as this provides an opportunity to work through patterns from the past or to unlock or hone in on your potential.
How long will we work together?
This is individual and also depends upon the nature of what you bring. Therapy can range from weeks to several years.
However, we would have regular conversations/reviews to ensure that your needs are being met.
Due to the person centred nature in which I operate, this is very much client led but I find it healthy for endings to be planned as they are an important part of the therapeutic process.
Session Duration and Cost
I am available on Thursdays offering telephone and online sessions.
Sessions are for 50 mins each time and we would aim to meet on a weekly basis, mutually agreed at the same time and day of the week.
I currently charge £45 for individual daytime sessions and £50 for sessions after 5pm.
This is payable via Calendly at the time of booking.
I have spoken to many therapists and counsellors and have never found talking about difficult situations and feelings easy, but from the first introductory meeting I knew I wanted to work with Kate. Initially I was reluctant to speak to someone online but Kate immediately created a feeling of safety and trust and has been incredibly warm and empathetic.
She has made me feel heard, supported throughout and listens without judgement. Kate is honest and thoughtful in her responses to questions and challenges me gently where needed. She explains the theory behind my thoughts and behaviour in a compassionate and clear way.
I would recommend Kate to anyone!
