Meet Tanya.
I am Tanya, a qualified psychotherapist with a level 4 diploma in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. I have an integrative style, which means that I will use a variety of modalities in our sessions, tailoring them to work with your particular issue. I focus on a person centred approach, which means that the sessions are completely led by you.
I work with the core principles of empathy, compassion and congruence, providing a safe space for you to use as you wish. All sessions are completely confidential and an opportunity for you to work through issues.
I am enthusiastic and passionate about mental health and supporting individuals to see and work with their issues, to become more grounded in themselves, their relationships and to be happier people.
My goal is to provide a space for you to be heard and held, ensuring you feel you are not alone.
I am able to work with a number of areas, for example: loss, self harm, injury, bereavement, abuse, stress, anger, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, habit/behaviour change, depression, guilt/remorse/shame, relationships, childhood trauma and wounds.
I am a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and abide by their code of ethics.
I provide both online and face to face sessions throughout the week.
Informal chat
I offer either an initial informal free 20 minute chat online or by telephone to help you decide if therapy is right for you, but also if I am the right person for you. This will be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions, concerns or provide me with any background information that you may feel necessary in deciding if we can work together. I can also explain a little bit more about how the sessions will go and you can made a decision before committing.
You can book an initial chat through the link or e-mailing me at: Tanya.rippleswellbeing@gmail.com.
I will aim to respond to you with a suitable time and day within 24 hours (or 48 hours over the weekend).
What does therapy look like?
This will depend on you and is completely flexible.
Although I will set boundaries and provide a safe environment, the sessions will be led by you. I will not prompt you to talk about certain topics, it will be for you to bring with you what you want to discuss in the session, unless you feel as though you want to pick something up from the last session and need me to remind you. I will not push you to discuss issues you are not ready to discuss but I may challenge your resistance or reluctance to discuss them in a kind and compassionate way.
When issues arise, I will use my skills and knowledge to provide you with insights and tools, which you can use in any way you wish inside and outside of the therapy sessions.
How long will we work together?
This is also entirely up to you. I believe in long term therapy to get the optimal benefits, however it very much depends on what issue you bring and whether you feel therapy is working for you.
I also appreciate that life can get in the way and financial circumstances can change, therefore we will always have regular check ins and reviews to see if this is working for you and if you wish to continue. I will also appreciate any feedback from you as to what is working and what isn't, so we can adapt to meet your needs.
It is always important to have a safe and planned ending therefore it is best that we are both on notice if the therapy sessions are looking to end.
Session Duration and Cost
I am available on Thursdays and sessions are 50 mins. We will aim to meet weekly at the same time and place.
I charge £45 per session, this is payable via Calendly at the time of booking.
