Introduction to Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace

Half Day Course

Raising awareness of poor Mental Health and breaking down stigma in the workplace: Promoting good mental health inside and outside of the workplace is essential. It is particularly important as we understand more about how poor mental health can negatively affect our relationships and resilience to overcome challenges at in work and everyday life.

More and more people are looking to learn the basic tools to recognise those experiencing poor mental health whilst recognising that self-care can be a tool to potentially improve mental health.

​

The Level 1 Award, Understanding Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace, qualification has been designed to provide learners with a greater understanding of the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and therole that everyone plays in recognising and handling mental health issues at work.

What's Covered?

As a learner, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to actively promote positive mental health within your own workplace.

Course Overview

Training is offered both online and in-person.

​

We train groups of upto 16 learners within private company training events, and groups of upto 16 individuals within public training events.

​

To remain an approved Mental Health First Aider in the Workplace learners will need to retake the qualification every 3 years, with a recommendation of a refresher course 18 months after course completion.

​

This course is regulated by Ofqual and nationally recognised qualification.

Before applying for this course you must be at least 18 years old on the first day of training.

 To remain an approved Mental Health First Aider in the Workplace,

learners will need to update their QA Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) every 3 years.
