Hypnotherapy
I’m Sophie, a qualified Hypnotherapist and Registrant Member of the National Hypnotherapy Society, following their Code of Ethics. I also hold a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory and currently practise as a student Counsellor with Ripples Wellbeing.
I am passionate about supporting mental health and wellbeing and believe a holistic approach is key to effective self-care and positive change. I provide empathetic, non-judgemental support to clients, taking a compassionate and collaborative approach to help them work towards their individual goals.
Hypnotherapy can be a powerful tool for overcoming anxiety, fears, phobias, and unwanted habits. It can also help reduce intrusive or negative thoughts, build self-confidence, and support healthier routines, from stress management to positive lifestyle changes. Many clients also use hypnotherapy to feel empowered in areas such as public speaking or decision making.
I take time to actively listen and understand what each client wishes to achieve, ensuring that every treatment is tailored to their unique needs. My aim is always to create a calm, confidential space where clients feel relaxed and supported.
I offer hypnotherapy both in person and online, with sessions available during weekdays and some weekday evenings, providing flexibility to suit your schedule.
Free informal chat
I am happy to provide a free 20 minute informal chat on the telephone or online (via zoom) to answer any questions you may have in relation to hypnotherapy and what hypnotherapy treatment typically entails.
For example, hypnotherapy could be new to you and you may wish to use the informal chat as an opportunity to discuss the issue you want to overcome before making a formal booking. Alternatively, you may have previous experience of hypnotherapy and may want to determine if we are the 'right fit' to work collaboratively together.
What does hypnotherapy look like?
During our first session, we will discuss the issue you wish to overcome, how it impacts your life, and the positive changes you hope to achieve. This allows us to shape a treatment plan around your individual needs, likes and dislikes. You will also experience a short relaxation session, with the initial appointment lasting around 30–45 minutes.
Subsequent sessions last 50–60 minutes and involve a full, tailored hypnotherapy treatment. Each session includes time to review your progress, answer questions, and ensure the process feels comfortable and supportive.
Sessions can take place in person in Keynsham or online via Zoom, usually on a weekly basis.
How long will we work together?
We are all unique and consequently, no two people shall respond in the same way to hypnotherapy treatment. Some issues or objectives may only require a few sessions whilst more complex, deep-rooted matters may require several hypnotherapy sessions.
It is entirely up to you to decide how many hypnotherapy treatment sessions you wish to have and there will be time during each treatment session for us to review your progress and to tailor any further treatment you may require.
Additionally, some people find that 'top-up' hypnotherapy sessions are useful to address any new challenges that may arise and I am happy to provide these as and when required.
